"Kon'nichi wa, watashi wa Tim desu. Hajimemashite.
Doozo yoroshiku.
I am 24 and work in London as a Management Consultant. I heard about Hashi
no kai online, and as I have a strong interest in Japan.
I decided it may be a good idea to come along and meet more people
with similar
interests. I lived in Kumamoto in Kyushu back in 1998/99 and worked
as an English teacher.
The time I spent in Japan was a superb learning curve for me,
and I enjoyed every minute of being in such a fascinating country.
The warm welcome I received and the friends I made while in Japan
will remain with me forever. Every week I think about Japan andthe
good times I had, and miss it greatly. This is one of the reasons
I started to attend events like Hashi no kai, and in the short time
I have been attending I have met some interesting and lovely people.
The other reason I decided to join each week is my desire to improve
my Japanese language ability. I am hoping to go and work in Japan
again in the near future, and having a better understanding of the
language would be hugely beneficial.
So by meeting more Japanese people and having an outlet to use some
of the language picked up through study,
I hope to improve greatly over the next year...ganbaremasu! I believe
that Hashi no kai is an excellent place to make new friends, share
knowledge and experience about ones culture, and have fun! I look
forward to increasing my network of friends and helping my Japanese
friends settle into living in London.
I hope to see you there soon! If you have any questions please
